|About This Webinar Ear infections are not uncommon in children, and most resolve on their own or with antibiotics. But chronic middle ear infections (otitis media) may cause hearing loss or cause additional complications. Emerging Research Grants alumna Regie Santos-Cortez, M.D., Ph.D., will discuss pediatric hearing loss particularly as it relates to chronic middle ear infections. She will address the varied roles genes, tissues in the ear, and bacteria may play in the disorder and the importance of combined clinical and population studies. This free event will take place on Monday, January 31, at 5pm ET (2pm PT, 10pm GMT) with live captioning, and it will be recorded with captions for future viewing. |
