research on neurological, psychiatric, or rare diseases<\/strong>, whether or not they suffer from such a condition (i.e., individuals who are neurologically healthy).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ba0f9ce sc_height_tiny sc_fly_static elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"ba0f9ce\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Participation in this program does not currently involve periodic evaluations of donors (neuropsychological, neurological, etc.). <strong>Most active donors of the BTN-INCYL reside in the Autonomous Community of Castile and Le\u00f3n<\/strong>, although individuals living in other Autonomous Communities are also registered as donors of the BTN-INCYL, including those without their own brain bank, such as the Autonomous Community of Extremadura. <br><strong>Our biobank works closely with several associations of patients and relatives of diseases in Castile and Le\u00f3n<\/strong>, such as Alzheimer\u2019s disease associations (<strong>including AFA-Salamanca, AFA-Le\u00f3n, and AFA-Soria<\/strong>), as well as associations related to Parkinson\u2019s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Huntington\u2019s disease, multiple sclerosis, and ataxias, in order to promote this donation program.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0a28f61 sc_height_medium sc_fly_static elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The decision can be made during the donor\u2019s lifetime by the donor themselves, <strong>by signing a document known as the Informed Consent<\/strong> (see the Documentation section below). It can also be signed at the time of death by a representative of the donor.<br\/>Personal data arising from the Informed Consent are processed in accordance with <strong>Organic Law 3\/2018, of December 5, on Personal Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPD-GDD)<\/strong>.
